Soil Generation is a Black & Brown-led coalition of gardeners, farmers, individuals, and community-based organizations in Philadelphia, PA working to ensure people of color regain community control of land and food, to secure access to the resources necessary to determine how the land is used, address community health concerns, grow food and improve the environment.

The mission of the Little Village Environmental Justice Organization is to organize with their community to accomplish environmental justice in Little Village and achieve the self-determination of immigrant, low-income, and working-class families. Their vision is to build a sustainable community that promotes the healthy development of youth and families, provides economic justice, and practices participatory democracy and self-determination.

Ferst Readers mission is “strengthening communities by providing quality books and literacy resources for children and their families to use at home during the earliest stages of development.” Their vision is “to create better learners, brighter futures, and stronger communities by giving every child under five access to quality books in their homes.”
